Literature Resource Center
This video will demonstrate how to use the Literature Resource Center from the Tennessee Electronic Library, which is a database that provides "biographical information, overviews, full-text literary criticism and reviews on more than 130,000 writers." This is a good resource to use if you are writing a report for your English class or researching famous people who are writers or who have had things written about them.
If you have any questions about this tutorial or need further assistance, please email one of the authors or contact your local librarian for assistance.

First Blog!
Welcome to the TEL Tutorials by Christa and Alisa! On this blog you will find video tutorials for using the Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) databases. These videos were done as part of the School of Information Sciences at UT Knoxville 596 School Library Media Practicum for already licensed teachers. One of those requirements states that we should "develop and deliver at least one inservice activity from Standard I utilizing the TEL (Tennessee Electronic Library); and develop and present at least one instructional program, which incorporates Standard II, utilizing the TEL." Stay tuned for some posts of our TEL instructional materials that we have developed to fulfill this component of our practicum experience.
